Water Girl🏈

This is a really late post, but here goes.  One of my twins was a cheerleader and the other was a WATER GIRL🏈🏈🏈 this year.  The school year is coming to a close, so I wanted to blog about my little water girl.  She really enjoyed hydrating the football players this year and felt like part of the team. Her twin sister was on the sidelines cheering the players on while she was making sure they had plenty of water.  It takes several people to make up a team and I am proud of my girls.  We had a cheer/football banquet and the water girls were acknowledged for there hard work.  Love my girls💕

Sewing room chair makeover!!

I have totally revamped my sewing room and I decided I needed a new chair for my sewing desk.  I saw this cute chair in the window of the local resale shop and thought wow that would be really cute in my sewing room. I had to do a little makeover on it to match in my room.  I used a satin metallic oil rubbed bronze spray paint.  This is the first time I have ever used this paint and I absolutely love it and can't wait to find something else to repurpose.  I was at Hobby Lobby and found this cute fabric with elephants on it and couldn't pass it up because I figured I could find a use for it somewhere. My sewing desk is black with brown accents and the bronze paint matched really well.  I tried the fabric that I got at hobby lobby  on the chair and it looked great.  I love the finished product and it looks so cute in my sewing room.

Picture Day!!

I woke up to the sound of hair  dryers this morning.  Today is picture day for my girls at school.  They all three have long hair and it takes a long time to wash, dry, and flat iron their hair.  Surprisingly  we made it to school on time.  When I was growing up we did not have flat irons for our  hair.  If you had wavy hair that is just how you had to wear it. I must admit I love a flat iron because the older I get the worse my hair looks.  I snapped a quick picture of my girls this morning.

Sarah and iTunes!!!!

My daughter Sarah's song that she recorded this summer is now on sale at iTunes.  She recorded "I Believe In Love" by Barlowgirl.  I think she did an amazing job, but I am biased of course.  The album titled "Alabama's Emerging Artist 2013 became available for sale on iTunes August 6th.  Her song is number 10 on the cd.  It only cost .99 to buy or you can listen to a little for free.  As a mom, it was pretty neat seeing her song for sale on iTunes.  We bought her song and downloaded it to all of our electronic devices.  I hope that she will continue to use her talents to glorify God.  She is currently working on several songs of her own and hopes to record an album of her own in the future.  It will also be on sale through iTunes.  I am one very proud mom.

Back to school!!

Our first day of school was a week ago Wednesday.  I always take a picture of my girls on their first day of school every year.  I love to look at them and see how much they have changed from one year to the next.  This last week has been about adjustment and getting up early around my house.  I was sad to see the summer go, but it is always nice to get back on a schedule.  I have a cheerleader and a water girl, so I am getting excited about the start of football season.  We are off to go shopping today for some school shoes and just a little girl time.......

Cd Release Party

Last Friday we traveled to Birmingham to attend a Cd release party for my oldest daughter Sarah.  It was a very exciting night for all of us.  Sarah was a grand prize winner in the Alabama Talent Hunt and it earned her a spot on the cd titled "Alabama's Emerging Artists 2013".  She chose the song "I Believe In Love" by Barlowgirl to record.  It was the song that she performed for the 4th round of the Alabama Talent Hunt.  She did an amazing job with this performance.  It literally moved me to tears. Several of our family members and some people that we consider family attended the party to share this exciting night with us. We all waited anxiously to hear her song for the first time.  Her song is the last one on the cd, so we had to wait a while.  Mr. Barry Hendrix of Alabama Talent Company asked each one of the winners a few questions before he played their song.  Sarah said that she made some great friends and learned better stage presence throughout the competition.  She also said that she learned what God wanted her to do with her life and felt like she was on the right rack.  I can't wait to see what the future holds for her.  I am so excited to have been a part of this experience and I am so thankful for the opportunity that it has provided my daughter. She has been so lucky to have so many wonderful people to support her on this Journey. She has had the privilege to work with two very amazing voice teachers that have helped her grow so much. I am so thankful for the gift that God has given her and hope that she continues to glorify him with her talent.  The cd titled "Alabama's Emerging Artists 2013" has some very talented singers on it and will go on sale on iTunes August 6th.  You can buy the whole cd or each song individually.  Check out Sarah Tyson Music on facebook.
